The Dasarajna project is a digital critical edition of the Dāśarājñá — the Battle of the Ten Kings — one of the earliest recorded wars in human history. It presents the war, its clans, its figures, and its enduring significance through an interactive atlas, genealogical lineages, a figure database, event timeline, and the complete Vedic hymn record.
Methodology
Every claim in the Codex is assigned one of four epistemic tiers: ATTESTED (textually certain), TRADITIONAL (post-Vedic tradition), INFERRED (deducible from evidence), or RECONSTRUCTED (conjectural). Scholarship and tradition are recorded separately, never merged into one claim. Western Indological claims are examined for colonial framing; Indian scholars and traditional commentators are prioritised.
